Started.
It started with iMovie. Jamil Banks was filming skits on his own just a love for editing. Shaping raw footage into something that actually hit. After high school he picked up a camera for the first time. No film school. No formal training. Just reps.
Being surrounded by people who make music, the direction became obvious shoot music videos. The editing instinct carried over, the camera felt natural, and by 2019 he was already putting in the work.
As the projects stacked up 250 and counting so did the ambition. Jamil always had the business sense to match the creative vision. It became clear that to operate at the level he was building toward, he needed people who held the same standard. In March 2023, Chapter 6 was officially born.
The name means something. Chapters represent the different phases of your life the belief that growth never stops. Chapter 6 exists to document that same momentum for every artist we work with.
